I Promise That is Not Dandruff

Oh look, it’s snowing again!  SHOCKING!  Apparently Detroit broke the previous record for snowfall in January on the 24th and we still have several days of the month left to go.  WEEEEEEEEE!  We are at 31.5 inches thus far.  The snow is freaking piled up everywhere and I’m about ready to go bat-shit crazy.  It was about 20°, snowing and blowing when we took these pictures.  So, I’ve been enjoying the art of layers so I can survive.  Yup.  Layers.

This is the same super fancy velvet blazer from Target that I also have in red (seen here).  I’m a firm believer in buying something in multiple colors if I like the shape/cut/style.  I’m picky and hard to fit, so when I find something that works it’s pretty much a miracle.  Case in point, I also have the top I’m wearing in multiple colors.  That is how I am.  I like classics in varying colors.  It works.  And yes, I realize that I should be sitting atop a horse in this outfit.  I left my riding crop at home.

  1. LOL! You crack me up. I am exactly the same though…”oh, this fits and I like it? Great! I’ll take ALL OF THE COLORS!” And I have a riding crop too…but somehow I haven’t figured out how to work that into the blog…hm….things to ponder. Thanks for linking up with Manic Monday! 🙂

  2. Oh man, I lived in Ypsilanti for 5 years, and to this day, I have no idea how I survived those winters! Though St. Louis is not getting by so easy either – not as bad as you, but not rainbows and unicorns, that’s for sure! And I’m totally guilty of buying all the colors of something I like! I get anxiety that this favorite thing is going to fall apart or go missing, so I must have 343487987 backups in another color! Naturally.
Thanks for sharing this with manic monday!!
