Black & Gold

I used to wear black all the time. No, like ALL the time. I’ve gotten away from wearing it as much in recent years, but lately her siren song has been calling me back. Everything I am drawn to is black. I tried on some clothes twice this past week and realized that every item I took in to the dressing room was black. Every item! Glorious, glorious, glorious black. It must be my inner New Waver trying to get out.

Must… Hear… The Cure…

And The Smiths.

Oh, and Depeche Mode too. Black Celebration, am I right?

I picked up this blouse at Nordstrom Rack for a wee pittance. I love the way it flows. I also really like the cutout back and the bum covering tail. It’s a winner.

  1. No argument from me on wearing black 🙂 Fab outfit and you look great in black. That is a gorgeous top. We must be a similar generation, the bands you mention, all from my past.. not just going to pop on a bit of Echo and Bunnymen and settle down to work.

  2. These newer silhouettes; boxier tops and cropped, slim pants look very fresh with black … looks completely modern relieved with gold. Excellent and so polished! Love it.

  3. I used to have this top and it was my favorite. EVER. And now its gone. nowhere to be found and I can’t find it anywhere in stores. If you ever get sick of this top, I would be happy to buy it off of you! Email me.
