Transitioning a Summer Dress into Fall – Part Deux

I think my second favorite way to transition a summer dress into fall, is to add a cardigan, tights and boots. My first favorite way is to add a denim jacket, because hello… EASY. We had a few really chilly days here in Michigan last week, so it was easy to justify sporting tights so early in fall (even though according to the calendar it was still officially summer). Michigan… You so crazy.

The last time I wore this dress was this past summer to an outdoor wedding. I actually wore the same jewelry and carried the same bag the last time I styled it, but the addition of the black cardigan, tights and boots really makes it look different. Heck, even the Mister gave me the fish-eye and was wondering when I snuck this dress in. I was all “This old thing? Ummmm… I wore it to your cousin’s wedding in June. DUH.” The blog provides photographic proof. There was no sneaking.
