Long Merino Draped Sweater | Denim | Booties

Winter decided to show up in Michigan. It’s cold, you guys. I’m not complaining though (yet), because this year has been a cake walk compared to last winter when we got 92 inches of snow and it remained firmly in place for four + months. Nope. Not complaining.

So, now that I’m on my no spend challenge I’ve been taking an inventory of the current pieces in my closet and figuring out different ways to wear those pieces. Do you know that I have owned this sweater for two years and in the entire time that I have owned it I have styled it the exact same way every time I have worn it? What the hell is wrong with me?

No more! I have now styled it exactly TWO ways. Where did I wear this? Bombing around on Saturday and out to dinner.

  1. Love it – and that stone wall was the perfect backdrop to the colors in that outfit! As we are in the teens heading into single digits here in Boston, I too am delving deep in to my heavy sweaters and long cardigans (over many many layers because we are more wimpy here on the coast). I do have to say I’m a bit worried what you are doing when you are “bombing around” on Saturdays…

  2. I’m sure you are having the bitter cold we’re having in Ohio. That part isn’t fun. I’ll take the snow any day though (from someone that works from home and doesn’t have to drive). I can see why you’ve held on to that sweater. It is a very flattering fit and color.

  3. Oh, that sweater looks just perfect to erap around you in a cold day… I can so relate to your thoughts on cold weather and snow, I wouldn’t mind a snow-free winter, either. Fat chance of that happening: this fun lasts till April… Yipee.

  4. That’s yummy for polishing jeans and a shirt! And keeping warm and chic at the same time. ! I love that taupey gray in just about any fabric, and all these neutrals with the blue look so fresh. Especially that happy tote!
If I were the cold, I’d be intimidated by your completely cozy-warm look!

Comments are fun! I love reading and responding to them.
