I decided to wear all of my favorite things at once.
Striped Shirt? Check!
Oversized cardigan? Check!
Ankle booties? Check!
Admittedly, I look a wee bit (a lot) like a farmer, but at least I am a really happy farmer. I actually wore this outfit for two days straight during winter break. I did change my shirt. And underwear. Overalls help to conceal the holiday and/or period bloat. When you can’t stand the thought of anything constricting around your waist that’s when overalls are there for you. Like a BFF. So, basically I just told the Internet that I ate too much and had my period over the holidays. You are welcome.
The sweater that I’m wearing is the Everlane Ribbed Wool- Cashmere Oversized Cardigan that I’ve already reviewed and overshared in grey. Sorry. I told you guys that I loved it.
On the topic of Everlane… I wanted to share a few other bloggers who provide excellent reviews of the products. I love the Everlane products, but hate that they don’t have a customer review option for the products. I read those a lot at other retailers, mainly for help with sizing. Those bloggers are:

So, It’s January… In Michigan…
It’s cold. It’s snowy. It’s cold. Did I mention that it’s cold? January is my least favorite month. I like all the fresh clean start stuff, but that’s about it. Layering is essential in these frigid months. Otherwise, you might catch your death of pneumonia, as my mother used to say. She was from Alabama, so imagine her saying it with a deep southern accent.
I love the look of a collared shirt underneath a sweater. I decided to layer a tunic length top under a tunic length sweater for warmth and maximum bum camouflage. I’ve also thrown all caution to the wind and paired navy with black. And you know what? The fashion police did not pull me over and the world did not end. OH. MY. HECK.
I think the blanket scarf sort of pulls the whole look together. There is navy and black in the scarf, so if my scarf can combine black and navy, so can I. Mad props to target for creating the scarf.
Wearing: Sweater – J. Crew, Top – J. Crew, Jeans – Joie, Scarf – Target, Boots – Vince Camuto, Bag – Coach.
Everything I’m wearing is several years old, so I can’t link to anything for you. But see??? Classic pieces you guys… Wearable for years.
Happy new year and may you have a fabulous 2017! I’m SO glad we have kicked 2016 to the curb. Man… That was a doozy of a year. Thank you so much for your continued support, lovely comments, and friendship. I appreciate all of you so much. Thanks for following along with me as I post pictures of myself on the Internet! HA!
I hope you all survived Christmas! Ours was busy. We hosted Christmas Eve, then had another family event on Christmas day. I’m glad I don’t have any sort of medical tests today, because my cholesterol has got to be through the roof with all the cheese and other fatty foods I shoved down my pie hole. I’m ready to relax and detox now. I already know what my New Year’s Resolution will be… It’s going to be to drop these 10 pounds that I put on during the fall and the holidays. Oooooph. Thankfully, I can still layer up while working on shedding my fluff.
I stopped into H&M for the first time in forever the other day and actually found a couple of items that I liked. I generally don’t shop in the “fast fashion” stores because of the poor quality, but decided to give this shirt a go. Every once in a while you can find some gems that actually hold up OK. I like this shirt because it’s different from everything in my closet. Look at me turning over a new leaf! It’s a fun layering piece, and more interesting than a typical button up shirt.
Wearing: Sweater – J. Crew Factory (old), Jeans – Gap (old, but these are similar), Shirt – H&M, Necklace – J. Crew, Boots – Loeffler Randall, Bag – Coach (old).
